The KTA Coop was established by members to promote and protect the rights and interests of vulnerable consumers, to provide skills training to needy coops and other small enterprises and to engage in activities aimed at promoting food safety in our country. Our work is guided by the principles of the World Cooperative Movement aimed at advancing democracy, economic progress and responsible behavior.
Our Guiding Principles
As a coop, we are guided by the principles and values that were adopted by the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) in 1995. The ICA is a global membership association of coops and support organizations that trace their roots to the first modern coop that was founded in Rochdale, England in 1844.

Our coop – as some of our members have been active in consumer protection for the past twenty years – also subscribes to the United Nations Guidelines for Consumer Protection which provide an advanced global standard on Consumer Protection for the purpose of delivering justice to every individual consumer.
